Calls for Gardaí to investigate intimidation & threats against Dublin hotels - Patrick Mc Crystal (HLI Ireland)

Human Life International Ireland today held a Press Conference to promote their upcoming Seminar on the Effects of Abortion on Women's Mental Health and the Links to Breast Cancer.
The Seminar will take place at The Spencer Hotel in Dublin on Saturday 30th Sept 2017 at 10am (Registration at 9.30am).
Patrick McCrystal added the following to his pre-prepared statement in light of recent developments around the cancellation of Pro-Life events due to threats and intimidation by Pro-Choice Advocates.
"Last night, the Spencer hotel was subject to shocking intimidation by Pro-Abortion advocates and a similar event to ours was cancelled. We publically call on the Gardaí to investigate this entire situation.

We have a message the Irish people deserve to hear. This is really about freedom of speech, freedom of association and freedom to live and act as Roman Catholics.

Attempts to silence authentic Catholic voices cannot change the truth about the sacredness of human life and society's duty of care to mothers, fathers and their children.

We respectfully assert that we will not be silenced in our free, democratic society."

Part of the mission of Human Life International (Ireland) is to advance and promote real information, research, expert witness, scientific and faith perspectives in the pursuit of our mission of advancing and promoting the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church.
We promote the vision that these authentic Catholic values and sound science are perfectly in accord and contribute to a better Ireland.
Our invitation of Dr Angela Lanfranchi, Breast cancer surgeon and founder of the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute and  Professor Priscilla Coleman, publisher of more peer-reviewed articles on the mental health implications of abortion than any other researcher in the world, is a legitimate, reasonable and powerful contribution to information on the true effects of abortion.
The intimidation of the management and staff of the Ashling Hotel last week to the point of their having to cancel the venue of our conference was a despicable attack on democracy, free speech, reasonable debate and dialogue.
It was clear to us that the hotel was not making a judgement on the content on our conference but was seeking to protect its staff and its business. We bear them no animosity or ill will.
Surely we can trust Irish citizens to hear expert information and draw their own conclusions?

We at Human Life International (Ireland) believe that women, men and families deserve to hear the truth about all the risks abortion poses.

It appears well organised, orchestrated campaigners are working to stifle constitutional freedom of expression and right of association.

Consider St John Paul words to Ireland, in Limerick:

"And so I say to all, have an absolute and holy respect for the sacredness of human life from the first moment of its conception.
Abortion, as the Vatican Council stated, is one of the "abominable crimes" (Gaudium et Spes, 51).
To attack unborn life at any moment from its conception is to undermine the whole moral order which is the true guardian of the well-being of man.
The defence of the absolute inviolability of unborn life is part of the defence of human rights and human dignity. May Ireland never weaken in her witness, before Europe and before the whole world, to the dignity and sacredness of all human life, from conception until death."

Last night, the Spencer hotel was subject to shocking intimidation by Pro-Abortion advocates and a similar event to ours was cancelled.
We respectfully assert that we will not be silenced in our free, democratic society.
