Hotel cancels conference after harassment, intimidation and threats.

The Ashling Hotel in Dublin yesterday cancelled a booking made by Human Life International to host a conference on the effects of abortion on women's physical and mental health.

Two world-renowned keynote speakers were due to speak at the event for which organisers are currently trying to find an alternative venue.
Staff at the Ashling Hotel cited harrasment and threats through numerous phone calls, emails, and a social media campaign as reason for the hotel cancelling the booking.

Patrick McCrystal, Executive Director of Human Life International, responded by expressing deep regret at the turn of events.
"This is yet another example of censorship and is attack on free speech. It is a chilling example of where our country is heading," he stated.

"We invited two globally renowned expert speakers to talk about the physical and mental effects of Abortion- namely Dr. Angela Lanfranchi M.D., F.A.C.S. and Professor Priscilla Coleman Ph.D.” (See Bios below).

McCrystal continued, “Who decides who may speak in Ireland? This is an attack on the very foundation of democracy in our country. These women are highly respected in their fields. Yet an angry mob have decided that only certain voices are allowed to be heard in Ireland."
